About            Allan Mcmillan
Photographer & Acoustic Sound Engineer
CleeHills in Shropshire England Uk

Born in Shakespears Stratford-On-Avon I spent my younger days bought up in the lush rolling hills and blossoming orchard countryside of the Herefordshire Borders often hiking the Misty Black Mountains and picturesque historic river valleys of Welsh Wales
Originally a Radio Engineer I later became immersed in the fine art of studio and live band sound systems design and specialised in Acoustic analogue Recording where I first picked up a camera to photograph musicians performances and soon perfected flashless photography relying on stage lighting and show performance timing, thereafter a decade honing skills in this theater of Soundcraft I opted to follow my instincts with a Celtic need to feel the breeze and touch the void I took my camera and reconnected with the natural world
With an interest in Natural Science and a competitive edge I made the move from photographing the creative noise of onstage gigs and the hubub of urban daily life to living in a quiet rural environment once again in an old Oak beamed cottage capturing the photography of Equine and Husky Sleddog racing events across the many forests of the Uk, this re-kindled a childhood love with the Art of Landscape and Wildlife where I feel most at home
In good company I enjoy intriguing folklore and Song over a steaming hot mulled wine sat round the burning embers of a crackling Winters campfire, as a crimson Sunset gently gives sway over crisp snow laden peaks to the universal starry night above as the cosmos reveals her secrets beyond an Auroral veil whilst distant howls softly and reassuringly serenade the darkness and a thousand wise old all seeing eyes keep watch over an ever enchanted ancient green forest

Today with modern high dynamic professional cameras and glass I render most photography in soft natural light which I feel makes the difference between a photograph and the dynamic depth of an Artists expressionate painting, this is where art meets imagination where catching the emotion between sunlight and shadow is paramount and all comes together at the right moment in time, I hope that along this journey through producing high quality Giclee Prints and Canvas Artwork editions I can in some small way furnish people with good memories to keep whilst indulging my passion to run free with Sleddogs, sing with Wolves, sour with Raptors and touch the spirit of the wild world in all its raw natural splendor.
